ABACUS FURNITURE is located in Etobicoke, Canada and charges the sales taxes (HST) applicable to Ontario. Orders shipped outside of Ontario are charged HST. Outside of Canada, we do not charge sales taxes at this time. You will be responsible for paying import duties, brokerage fees and current China tariffs to the USA if applicable. Note that not all items are subject to duties and tariffs. Local GTA Delivery is available. We do not ship to P.O. boxes. If you live outside of our shipping area please contact us and we can quote a shipping charge.

We wish to thank you for helping us through this difficult year. It is through your support that we are able to keep our doors open (virtually at this time).
We understand you have placed your faith in us to deliver you a hand made, beautiful product for your space. We endeavor to do this as thoroughly and thoughtfully as we always have. This level of craftsmanship can only be done by hand.
We employ a wonderfully skilled set of people, but they are just that- people. We are working as fast as we can with delays in shipping, shortages in raw materials, employee mental health, and public health restrictions at our various supplier manufacturing sites. These disruptions have had an impact on lead times.
As of now we are running very close to the 12 week mark as quoted on wood and case goods. We are running at 8-18 weeks for custom upholstered goods. We are running at 6-12 weeks for patio furniture. However, some orders are taking longer due to these disruptions.
Please know that we are working tirelessly and over time to ensure there is as little delay as possible. During this unprecedented time we ask that you be kind to our staff who are working harder than ever to deliver your products in a correct and timely manner. We are in this together.

DELIVERY NOTES & COMMUNICATION
Please notify us of all delviery notes during checkout to specify unique situations the delivery company may encounter during delivery. No elevator, small doorway, etc. Please ensure items being order fit through and into their desired destination prior to ordering. If you have any questions about size please don’t hesitate to ask.
Delays in shipment or delivery can be caused due to holidays, busy season, weather or various other reasons. These delays are out of our control and can push the delivery window past the 6-8 weeks or lead time given at the time of ordering. We ask for your patience during these times as we do our best to ensure all items get to our customers as quickly as possible!
Delivery dates shown are estimated and are approximate and take effect once drawings are approved.
Delays in custom furniture will occur and is an industry wide problem that is difficult to control.
USA shipping fees are calculated by total order weight. Some oversize pieces may be subject to additional shipping charges due to size and distance. If your order requires extra fees, you will be contacted within 48hrs with a quote.
We do our best to feature in stock items but in some instances, products can sell out before we have the chance to update our website. If you purchase an item that is out of stock we will contact you with an estimated stock date. If the date isn’t to your liking we will reimburse you 100% and/or suggest a similar in stock item. Please contact us for stock inventory and specific lead times.
Local delivery is avaialble through several local third party delviery services. Our local GTA delviery fee starts at $295. Delivery charges are based upon several factors; distance from our location, number of pieces, assembly and handleing required.
An additional delivery charge will apply if no one is home to accept delivery.
Delivery personnel require a clear path through your home or business and to the intended location.
All present furniture must be removed by the customer.
Snow and ice are to be removed from driveways and walkways.
Abacus or its agents shall not be liable for damages caused to customer’s property or furniture.
Audio, visual, computer & electrical equipment to be installed by customer only.
LOCAL GTA PICK-UP
We offer free local pick up from our Etobicoke factory showroom.
PICK-UP WINDOWS MUST BE BOOKED AHEAD OF TIME: Monday to Thursday 10am – 4pm, Friday 10am – 2pm, Saturday and Sunday NO PICK UPS.
Customers to provide their own packing materials and inspect the product prior to loading.
Damage incurred on pick up by the customerʼs own transportation is not warranted.
Customer to inspect goods before loading, damage after inspection is not warranted.

Please note if your delivery is going to a beautiful lakeside cottage, picturesque country cabin or any lovely rural location you may be subject to additional shipping charges. We will gather a quote and send it your way after placing your order.
